Woohoo – the cover for my next book, Beehives is in!
I hope you find this cover photograph as mysterious as I do! (Photo credit: Mary Coley 2015) Beehives is all about another family secret. This one belongs to Jamie’s mother, and is a secret she’s held close since her teenage years in the 1950s.
Jamie and Sam (the same main characters as in Cobwebs and Ant Dens) are back in Oklahoma, this time at Osage Hills State Park between Bartlesville and Pawhuska. They’re supposed to be planning their wedding, but after they find the body of the park’s resident hermit on a nature trail, they become entwined in another mystery. Things get personal when they learn Sam’s cousin and Jamie’s mother both knew the victim.
I’ll be telling you more about Beehives during the remaining blog posts for October, and all of the November posts. The book is expected to be available for purchase on Amazon in paperback and ebook formats by December 1.
Thank you to everyone who signed up for the October Burt’s Bees giveaway! Four lucky winners will be receiving items by mail soon. Congratulations! And all of those who signed up will receive exclusive access to stories not posted on my blog, including flash fiction and shorts not published elsewhere.
(By the way…It’s never too late to join that list. Just go to my website and fill out the contact form. Giving me your email only means I’ll be sending you stories and notification of giveaways, as well as notice of book availability. The list is exclusively mine – so don’t expect any spam. Promise.)
Enjoy the charm of October. The leaves are rustling in a golden late afternoon breeze and the nuts are falling. A flock of blue jays is noisily passing through. I’m wishing October was much longer than 31 days.
