Wow – what a whirlwind the last six months have been. Have you kept up with me on Facebook? My FB pages: Mary Coley Author and Mary Coley Book Club. If not, here’s what’s been happening in a nutshell:

1. Chrysalis: A Race to Death was published!

(The fourth book in the Family Secret Series, the book is another Jamie/Sam adventure. This time, they’re in Ponca City, where they’ve moved to facilitate the growth of Sam’s law practice. Jamie has taken a teaching job. Their lives are further complicated by the addition of Jamie’s mother to their home– she’s moved in with them following a fall in her New Mexico home.

Moving and Mom have created some tension for Jamie and Sam, but things soon get worse. Visited by a detective from the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation, they learn that the investigation into the death of Sam’s first wife, Reba, has been reopened, and Reba’s body is being disinterred. Check it out!)

2. My autumn was filled with book signings and talks about Chrysalis. Lots of fun, but time consuming as well. I had book events in Edmond, Oklahoma City, Bartlesville, Stillwater, Enid and Ponca City during November and December.

3. I injured my finger/hand. Turns out, pretty severely. I disconnected a ligament from my pointer finger at the base knuckle. This greatly limited my ability to do anything on the computer, or to do most anything with my right (primary) hand. I ended up having surgery in February, and now, two months post-surgery, things are getting better, but are far from back to normal.

The good news is, they are normal enough that I am working on my next book, which is what I’m really here to tell you about.

And I want your opinion about the direction I’m going and how to present this book.

First off, here’s the title: The Crystalline Crypt. Do you like it? Write me a few words about what it brings to mind.

Second, the synopsis. This isn’t the book jacket copy exactly but it will be something similar.
