Lake view from the deck, elsewhere – forest.
 
Fox family trots through the woods.
Chipmunk chatter hypnotizes dog.
Busy deck feeder — one, two, three – even four hummingbirds – buzzzzzz.
Afternoon showers and cool night breezes.
Fire pit, with smoke and s’mores at twilight after
Steak and kabobs for dinner.

Quiet.

Early morning on the lake,
kayaks slice through water glass.
Ducks flap, otter swims.
Lake homes with ski-do’s on the pier. Boat houses decorated with elk antlers.
Cooling breeze, lapping water.
Time slows.
